I don't know why I chose kaple.dk, when my real name is Rune Kappel. Maybe I thought it would be cool? Nevertheless, my full name is Rune Kjær Kappel, and I'm Danish.

Miniature Painting used to be a hobby for me, but not any more. It is an artform, and should be respected as one. I strive to improve technically all the time, but it is no longer just about that. With all the new, and weird, minis coming out, we as painters have gotten the freedom to express ourselves through them. This was frightening for me when I began to paint again, because there was so much stuff I didn't understand; names of techniques and crazy painting slang. Not to mention the absolutely stunning stuff being posted, that was just out of this world.

Not long after the original kaple.dk was launched, I started to get tons of mails from people asking me about painting. It seemed like there was a lot of people out there experiencing the same frustration I had when I started to paint. I tried to help by making tutorials and a forum on my site, but it just didn't seem to be enough. Therefore, when I felt I had improved enough as a painter, I started to work on a big project called Miniature Painting CD. The goal being to make the most comprehensive guide on the topic of painting miniatures available on the market.

The only thing left to say is that I hope you like the website, and my minis. I will do my best to update often. A good website is one that is often updated.
